Simon JamesHEWITTIt is with great sadness that we announce that on Thursday 28th August 2025, Sam suddenly and unexpectedly passed away aged 59 years.
A much-loved husband, dad, and grandad. A true family man, kind and loving, he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him dearly.
A funeral service will take place at Grimsby Crematorium on Friday 19th September at 2:15pm, and all are welcome to attend this service to celebrate Sam's life.

So many great memories working together at Hartwells in the 80s. Drinking at the New Standard on a Friday after 2-10 and staying at your house getting up with Saturday morning hangovers, bacon bun and back to work.
