Michael HughWIDDICOMBEOur beloved Mike has passed away, aged 59, on 28th August, at King's College Hospital, London. An adored husband, father and brother. A strong man till the end. The funeral service will take place at St Mary's Church, Berry Pomeroy on Monday 13th September at 2pm. No flowers by request, donations in memory of Mike for Cancer Research UK and Torbay Hospital League of Friends by retiring collection or may be sent to Allwood Independent Funeral Service, Station Road, Totnes. This extremely sad news. Mike was one of the most likeable people you could ever meet & certainly one of the most genuine. My condolences go out to all of Mikes family.

A brave man indeed.....I will always have fond memories of Widds through time spent playing football together for KEVICS and later Dittisham - and of course cricket for Buckfastleigh. He was always committed on the field and a good mate off it. There were too many extended post-match experiences to mention, amazing that we came through unscathed....I hope he’s up there somewhere shooting the breeze and listening to Clash songs with Joe Strummer. Condolences to Helly and the rest of the family
