Peacefully on 17th March 2026 at Lindisfarne Care Home Birtley aged 93 years Joan.

Step mum to Julie and Helen and a gran and great gran.

Funeral Service at St Mary the Virgin Parish Church, Whickham on Monday 30th March at 10.00am.

Private Cremation to follow at Mountsett Crematorium.

No flowers by request.

Donations in lieu if desired to Alzheimers Research UK and Blood Cancer UK.

Sorry to hear this sad news. I worked with Joan for many years until she retired and she was the loveliest lady. I was lucky to join her a few years ago on a reunion with other secretaries from the Dental School. When I lived at Whickham I was happy to bump into her too. Condolences and love to her family ❤️
