Honestly, still struggling to get my head round this — can’t believe it. I have so many memories of growing up with David — Farky to all of us — the daft things we got up to, some of the trouble we ended up in, and all the laughs we had. Growing up in Cultenhove with him was chaos in the best way. It’s something I’ll always look back on with real fondness and a big smile. We had wild times up the top — sometimes stupid, sometimes dangerous, but always hilarious.

One thing about Farky: he’d always back you up. He helped me out more than once growing up, and I’ll never forget that. Even though we didn’t see each other often over the years, whenever we bumped into each other he made a point of stopping, talking, and asking how I was doing. He cared, and that meant something to me. I hope he knew that.

I’m away right now and can’t be there to say this in person, but I wanted to pay my respects.

You’ll be missed, big man. Of that I have no doubt.

Rest easy, Farky.
