Margaret JoyceOWEN16th February 2026 Passed away peacefully at Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor aged 77 years. Formerly of Sheffield and always of Anglesey, Joy was a dedicated civil servant known for her commitment to public service and her vibrant spirit. She was fun, active, and always ready for a joke. She was unbelievably kind: she brought up a child on her own and was always there. She taught her son to swim in the sea and was much beloved by children and adults alike. She is the beloved mother of Alun Owen and a cherished sister to her loving brothers and sisters. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and former colleagues. A funeral service will be held at Bangor Crematorium on Thursday, 26th March 2026 at 2.30 p.m. Family flowers only but donations gratefully received for Glaslyn Ward, Ysbyty Gwynedd per Griffith Roberts & Son, Preswylfa, Valley.
