It is with sadness that Derek passed away with Muriel, his partner of 25 years by his side, holding his hand having said her goodbyes.

Muriel would like to thank Doctor Nicolle and her staff at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Gateshead and the staff at Manor House Care Home, Whickham.

Derek will be missed by many friends and neighbours in Winlaton as well as Muriel's family and his brother Alan Duggan.
