Pam looked after me like one of her own when l lodged with her in Davyhulme during my first year at Salford University in 1968-9. I was straight up from the Isle of Wight and thrilled but giddy to be in the Manchester conurbation and Pam was wonderful. I remember on one occasion, when Pam served some cress with our tea, little Suzanne asking, "Do we have to eat the grass, Mum?"! I also remember arriving back frequently from nights out at Uni to find Pam asleep in front of a blank tv screen with her little white poodle beside her.
Over the years, I have tried to trace Pam to thank her but could never find her until now. After living and working abroad for several years then moving to London 1981 I married John Rathbone from Urmston.
