Robert PhilipCAVEOf Thurnby passed away on March 1st 2022 at Leicester Royal Infirmary after a long illness. Peace after pain. The loving husband of Theresa, father of Paul and Gillian, Stephen, Helen and Kevin, Simon and Lorraine and Alex and Erin and a dear grandad of 15 and great-grandad of 8. Requiem Mass at St Joseph's Church, Goodwood Road on Friday April 1st at 12.00noon followed by cremation at Great Glen Crematorium. Family flowers only but donations payable to Cancer Research UK may be sent to A C James & Son, Independent Funeral Directors, 9, Biddulph Street, Leicester. LE2 1BH. Tel 0116 2542900.

Robert (Bob) was most kind to us when we were new to the parish and city 14 years ago. He had a stock of sunshine that he threw generously about him. In sorrow at his departure but know that 'All the trumpets sounded for him, on the other side'. Bunyan.
