Pauline was so much more to me than a friend — she was like a second mum. She was always someone I could talk to about absolutely anything, always at the other end of the phone, and she would listen without judgement, usually with a laugh and a wise word when I needed it most.
Some of my happiest memories are the times we spent together — our trips away watching Stoke or soaking up the sun in Tenerife and Cyprusl, the shopping adventures that always seemed to last all day, and of course sitting down together with a large brandy or bottle of wine, and putting the world to rights. Those moments were simple but so special, and they mean even more to me now.
Pauline had such warmth, humour and kindness, and she made everyone around her feel welcome and cared for. I feel incredibly lucky to have had her in my life and to have shared so many special, wonderful memories with her.
She will always hold a very special place in my heart and is already missed so much 🩷🩷
