RayALDERSONPeacefully on 13th January 2026, surrounded by his loving family, Ray aged 73 years and of Prestwich.

The dearly beloved husband of Brenda, much-loved dad of Sarah and Matthew and a devoted grandad of Grayson and Rory.

A service to celebrate Ray's life will be held at Blackley Crematorium on Tuesday, 10th February at 12 noon.

Have just heard this very sad news from family in Manchester. Thinking of you Ray and your loving family. Sincere condolences from afar. I remember the Manchester Evening News Reader Holiday we all enjoyed together back in 1981 when our Alan, you, me and my now husband Derek all flew to Russia together. Memories also of you calling for our Alan in Longport Avenue, and I remember your parents with great fondness too. Rest in peace Ray and very best wishes to your wife Brenda and your family. Thinking of you all Brenda, Sarah, Matthew and family at this sad time. Ray was such a lovely man and so welcoming whenever we met. He always took time to chat with Dad who was very fond of him. My lasting memory will be of the very special Christmas you invited me to share with you and enjoying Ray’s cooking! Good night, God bless Ray, RIP.
