JimALLISONWe are saddened to announce the passing of our beloved dad James ‘Jim’ Allison. He was 84.

We are enormously proud of his amazing life and for providing for us a loving home and family upbringing. He leaves behind our amazing and loving Mam, Jackie to whom he was happily married to for 61 years. Also, son Glenn, daughter Shani, and grandchildren James, Ben, Emma and Jessie and step-granddaughter Sarah. To all of us, he was Dad, Grandad, and the head of our family. Most importantly, he was our Hero. We will miss his unshakeable optimism, his sense of humour, and the way he made each of us feel we could do anything we put our minds to. He was truly one of a kind.

The Funeral Service for Jim will be on Thursday 28th August at Durham Crematorium, South Rd, Durham DH1 3TQ starting at 3PM. This will be followed by a 'wake' to be held at the Durham Masonic Hall, Old Elvet, Durham, DH1 3HN, from 4PM.

Family flowers only.

We remember and honour our brother-in-law Jim. He was, above all else, a devoted husband to my sister Jackie and a loving dad to our Glenn & Shani. His love for them was the heartbeat of his life, and everything he did was grounded in that devotion. He cherished our Jackie, stood beside her through every season, and built a home filled with warmth and laughter.
To our Glenn & Shani, he was more than a dad, he was their guide and their greatest supporter. They will carry with them not only his lessons and values but also the knowledge that they were deeply loved by him, every single day.
He leaves behind a legacy of love that will live on in our Jackie, in our Glenn & Shani, and in all of us who were lucky enough to know him.
We will miss him, but we will also celebrate the life he lived, the love he gave, and the family he built with such care.
Godbless Jim.
Love Malcolm & Maxine.

My Uncle Jim was one of a kind. He was kind, funny, and always ready to bring a smile to those around him. He loved a good karaoke night and had a voice that could light up a room. More than anything, he was a devoted husband and a loving dad, and to me, he was the most wonderful uncle.
I feel so lucky to have shared a holiday with him this year, it gave me memories I’ll treasure forever. He had a way of making every moment brighter, and the world just won’t be the same without him. I’ll always be proud to call him my uncle, and he will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Goodnight Godbless Uncle Jim ❤️
