AmblerBRENDABRENDA Ambler of Hamer Avenue, Loveclough, Rossendale passed away at the Royal Blackburn Hospital after a short illness on November 4, aged 88 years. She grew up in Water and Edgeside the second of seven children, on leaving School she worked in the valley as a machinist. On retirement she worked part time at the Glorv Pub where she made many friends. As a child Brenda loved to dance and perform in pantomimes with her six siblings. In later life she enjoyed playing for the Jester Darts Team and in The Glory pub quiz. She also enjoyed spending time with her six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Brenda was married to John who died in 2015, together they had three children, Karen, Jonathan and Joanne. Brenda's funeral will take place on Thursday, November 20 at Burnley Crematorium at 12.15pm, conducted by celebrant Andrea. This will be followed by refreshments at The CPA Club in Loveclough.
