AnnaBROSZKIEWICZ30th March 1971 - 24th January 2026

Peacefully passed away aged 54 years on Saturday 24th January 2026. She leaves behind her greatest love, her son Alex, and broken hearted family and friends.

Anna was born in 1971 in Leicester to Polish parents Danuta and Zbigniew, who came to the UK and settled in Leicester after the Second World War.

Anna lived life passionately. Her degree in Biology, work with the RSPB, and lifelong commitment to the natural world finally led her to teaching. As always, she shone in the role, finding individual and unique ways to inspire and bring out the best in each of her students.

Voluntary work with WasteNot Leicestershire, the Permaculture Association, the Real Junk Food Project, and One Roof Leicester, amongst many others, were some of the ways she made a practical difference. Never preaching, her way was to change through example. Her fun loving and vivacious personality was only ever matched by the seeming ease and quality of her culinary creations.

Her cremation service will take place on Tuesday 24th February 2026 at 1pm at Gilroes Crematorium, Groby Road, Leicester LE3 9QG.

Dress as smartly and as colourfully as you dare. Do feel free to bring a single flower to lay with Anna at the end of the service. Should you wish to, donations to LOROS are very welcome at the service, or via https://annafinn.muchloved.com

Anna's ashes will be laid to rest on Saturday 11th April at 1pm at the Natural Burial Ground, Keyham Lane East, Scraptoft LE7 9TA, followed by a celebration of her life in Syston.

Beloved mother, partner, sister, cousin, and great friend to many. Anna will be forever treasured in our hearts.

Absolutely adored Anna from the first time I met her she was the big sister I always wanted. Me and her Brother in law fitted her fence in Leicestershire. Anna has always been very kind and thoughtful when ever we met up again. Whether that be celebrating birthdays or family occasions. You will be very deeply missed. A true warrior. Your Alex is a true credit to you. Barb will miss you like crazy and I know Alex will to. I hope you've found peace. Get some rest. Love Matt and family. X

Anna was a loving soul and it was very sad to hear she was one of my teachers at Beauchamp and one of my mums close friends it was a dear shock to us . She was always very kind and caring to all. Anna and I did a Polish stall for culture day with all the Polish history and food. Anna went to Polish school with my mum where they had made good friends and memories , she had a beautiful soul inside and out . She will be dearly missed and loved by all.

So shocked and sorry for your loss. I worked with Anna briefly at Beauchamp College. A hard working, strong personality with a kind heart. I remember her taking my tutor group for a few months when i had an operation. I loved how she got my tutees to make a card and send get well wishes, so thoughtful ❤️. Rest in peace Anna xxxxxx
