Sad news of a good pal, Dinnington Village’s greatest ambassador loved the people the club and the place he called home. Les would always tell people he flew from Dinnington International airport ( DIA)
Went to many Newcastle matches home and away Barcelona 1990 with the kids, Wembley, Stamford bridge, Upton Park to name a few.
Whilst in Barcelona the heavens opened and we dived into a local pub to get oot of the rain, and a bite to eat. TAPAS bar - oh No - Les did not like the look of the baby octopus at all, and while we tucked in he persuaded the chef to cook him “egg & chips” everyone was happy.
When the 45 bus passes through Gosforth I would always look up to see if you were on it and still will.
Thanks for the memories, Sleep tight Pal, see you on the other side.
