PatriciaCOOKOn Friday 27th March 2026, peacefully in hospital, with her loving family by her side Patricia Cook (nee Thornley) aged 81 years, of Great Harwood and formerly of Blackburn
She was the beloved wife of the late Dennis, with whom she shared many wonderful years, a much loved and devoted Mum to Howard and Buzzer, Patricia was a cherished Mother-in-Law to Lisa and Gill. She was a proud and caring Grandma to Ashleigh, Jack, Josh, Sam and Alfie, and a deeply adored Great Grandma, known affectionately as "Nanny Pat," to Harry, Arlo and Dottie, also a dear sister to Beryl, a much loved aunty, cousin and a kind and loyal friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
A dedicated and compassionate nurse, Patricia devoted her working life to caring for others. Her final role was at Witton Medical Centre in Blackburn, where she was respected and appreciated by colleagues and patients alike.
Patricia will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Her funeral service will take place at All Saints Church, Clayton-le-Moors, on Friday 17th April at 12 noon, followed by committal at Accrington Crematorium at 1:00pm.
All are warmly invited to join the family afterwards at Enfield Cricket Club to celebrate Patricia's life.
