Passed away at Glan Clwyd Hospital aged 87 years of Garth Gopa, Llanddulas,

Retired Inspector, North Wales Police and founder of the Snowdonia Sevens Mountain Race.

The dearly beloved husband of Olwen, loving father and father in law to Beverley and Ibrahim and Gareth and Fiona, cherished and proud taid to Mathew, Oliver, William and Daniel, dear brother of the late Cadfan and Cynolwyn and a fond uncle to all his nieces and nephews.

Service at St Asaph Crematorium on Thursday 29th January at 1.30pm

Family flowers only please but donations if desired in memory of Cynan would be gratefully received towards the British Heart Foundation and Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team

Although I didn’t know Cynan well, he is the father of Bev, my dearest and best friend of some 40-odd years now, and I will be ever grateful to him for her being in my life and for the love and joy I know he brought her. I hope he now rests somewhere, somehow in peace. I will remember him when the snowdrops come
