Jean YvonneFRASEROur family are very sad to announce that Jean Fraser, aged 92 years, passed away peacefully in her sleep in the early hours of Monday 12th January 2026.

The much loved wife of the late John, a treasured mum to son Adrian and daughter-in-law Elizabeth, daughter Andrea and son-in-law Peter. A cherished grandma to Elliot, Olivia, Claudia, Ellen & Connie. Jean was also a good friend to many and will be sadly missed.

As a primary school teacher in Cleethorpes and Holton-Le-Clay Jean gently encouraged many young lives over the course of her career. She enjoyed a very happy retirement.

Following the passing of John in 2021 she moved to Cambridge to be close to her son and family for her final few years where she very much enjoyed visits from her grandchildren, their partners and Leo the dog.

Small family funeral to be held at Cambridge Crematorium on Friday 23rd January. By request family flowers only. But if so desired please make a donation to a charity of your choice in remembrance.

Mrs Fraser always gave a very warm welcome to Andrea’s friends, even years after Andrea had moved out!! Such a lovely lady, fondly remembered.

My grandma’s house was a place of comfort, warmth, and childhood magic, a reflection of who she was. She was endlessly loving and patient. I still picture her huge biscuit jar that somehow never emptied, afternoons spent playing with Play-Doh at the table, and the hum of the food warming cupboard in the kitchen that always intrigued me as a child, playing in the garden, writing stories and on rainy days sitting in the conservatory. These memories and moments are my childhood, and her kindness and love will stay with me forever.

She was a lovely Grandma. She had a lot of time and love for people, lots of stories to share and a very quick sense of humour. We loved going to Holton-Le-Clay to visit as kids and also as adults. We will miss her xxx
