GillianGARLANDTragically on Thursday, 18th December at Morriston Hospital, Gillian of Bryn Avenue, Upper Brynamman sadly passed away.

Beloved wife of Bernard, much loved mother of Emma and Richard, loving grandmother of Sam, Rebecca and Lucy, cherished great-grandmother of Ottilie Joy, dear sister of Carol, Patricia and Jacqueline and a fond sister-in-law of Angela. Dearly missed by all her family and friends.

Funeral on Monday, 19th January 2026, service at the Chapel of Rest, Bwtrimawr, 39 Betws Road, Betws, Ammanford SA18 2HE at 2.00pm. A private cremation will follow.

Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if so desired, to 'Tŷ Hafan' will be kindly received by

Evan Rees and Hywel Griffiths, Funeral Directors, 98 Heol Cae Gurwen, Gwaun Cae Gurwen, Ammanford SA18 1PD. Bernard and family warmly invite you to join them for light refreshments at Cwmgors Rugby Club, Gwaun Cae Gurwen, SA18 1ER after the funeral service.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Gillian, please accept my sincere condolences from all of us here at Tŷ Hafan. Gillian was a very special person and we can see from your Tribute page they were dearly loved by all of their family and friends. They will be missed. 

At Tŷ Hafan, the diagnosis of a life-shortening illness turns everyday life upside down for families, leaving them facing a future that is so different to the one they imagined. Your generosity means they can receive the care and support they need. Thanks to you, they can create a lifetime of memories in the time they have together, just like your memories of Gillian. I hope that gives you some comfort during this sad time.
