IvyGRANT(Bedlington) Passed away peacefully in Cramlington Hospital on 24th December aged 97, following a short illness.

She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and unwavering devotion to her family. Loving wife of the late John. Ivy was a selfless, adoring mother to John, Angela, Robert and Irene and a proud and doting grandma to Tracy, Julie, Lara, Paul, Sharyn, David and Stephen. Always first to help and support others, she will be remembered for the care and kindness at her core, her generous spirit, as well as her keen sense of fun and her determination to make the most of every single day. A powerhouse of love, Ivy shared smiles and laughter with all those who were lucky enough to know her.

Though their hearts are broken, her family take comfort in the belief that she is now in the company of her beloved late husband and son. Her memory will be cherished always and her spirit lives on deep within the hearts of her family and friends.

Please gather for the funeral service to celebrate Ivy's life at St Cuthbert's Church, Bedlington on Friday 9th January at 1:30pm, followed by committal at Blyth Crematorium at 2:30pm.

Afterwards family and friends are warmly invited to gather at Bedlington Community Centre to continue the celebration of Ivy's life.

Family flowers only, please. Donations in lieu of flowers to Mind Active, Bedlington.

I feel very, very lucky to have known Ivy. She has always been so lovely to me as someone who joined her family. Genuinely caring and positive, she brought a smile to every occasion. I’ll really miss her warmth, her singing, her sense of fun and that beautiful smile. She is an inspiration and that will never change.

Although mam may have passed on,
Her memory forever stays.
I remember how she smiled at us
And the joy she always gave.
I’ll miss her all the time,
And think of her every day.
Mam’s love filled our world.
That love will never fade. 🩷
