Nick and I served together in the 4th Cadet Battalion and in Minden Company. We had both also been regular Royal Engineers.

Nick was a respected and very supportive comrade and friend. We will all miss him.

Being my detatchment commander ar Denbigh Army Cadets Nick amongst others helped to expand my horizons helping me become the person that I am today. I have a very fond memory of building and arial ropeway with telegraph poles at Ripon Camp one year. The teamwork he inspired was awesome. Thank you Nick

My Taid you brought so much joy, laughter, and warmth into my life. Losing you so suddenly has been incredibly hard, and it still doesn’t feel real that you’re gone.

I still can’t believe we won’t sitting side by side watching football, getting caught up in every moment of the game. It was never just about football, it was about being with you.

You had such a way of making life fun. Whether we were singing karaoke — sometimes brilliantly, sometimes not — or going to festivals, you made every moment feel special. You didn’t just go through life, you lived it, and you made sure the people around you did too.

I’ll always treasure our theatre trips. Sitting together, laughing, watching everything unfold — those are memories I’ll hold onto forever.

But more than anything, I’ll remember you for who you were: kind, full of life, and someone who made people feel happy just by being there. You gave us so many memories that will stay with me forever.

Even though you’re not here, I’ll still think of you in all those moments — every match I watch, every song I sing, every time I laugh.

I love you always Taid xxxx
