A wonderful singer - Gil was cast in the mold of the great Scottish ballad singers Jeannie Robertson and Belle Stewart - his rendition of MacCrimmon's Lament his endured these fifty years and more. Thank you for the songs, the kindnesses shown to Diane and I when we briefly lived in West Bridgford and the naughty twinkle in your eye.

Friends for ever
