GlynneJONESGlynne Vincent Jones passed away surrounded by his devoted family at Clatterbridge Cancer Centre Liverpool on Thursday 26th February 2026, at age 63.
Much loved father of Lauren, younger brother of Pearl, Pauline, David, Christine, Dawn and Gwyneth, and uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Glynne was born 14th February 1963, he was a kind, brave and uncomplicated soul, who humbly enjoyed the simple things in life, he never complained and always put others before himself. He had a deep love for music - particularly Led Zeppelin and Madness, and he was a fantastic football player in his youth winning player of the year many times and accumulating trophies and wins for the local teams he played in. He was a loyal LFC fan until the end. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.

A celebration of Glynne's life will take place at 12pm Monday 23rd March 2026. The funeral service is at Thornton Crematorium, Lydiate Lane, Thornton, L23 1TP, followed by a reception at St. Monica's Parish Centre, Stewart Avenue, Bootle, L20 9JD. All are welcome to come along and share memories with family, friends and colleagues and remember our much loved Glynne.

Instead of flowers we are welcoming donations to Clatterbridge Cancer Centre Liverpool as a thank you for their excellent care during Glynne's time spent with them, especially during the last couple of months. We appreciate how well they looked after him.
