The obituary notice of Damian Peter KANE

It's sad Damian is no longer with us. 40 years ago, we had a lads holiday in Benidorm.We both were strong swimmers and after about an hour trying to swim to that big rocky island in the middle of the sea, we gave up it was still too far, we decided to swim backstroke back to the beach, both of us thinking of JAWS the movie as we swam.
We partied every night for 2 weeks, surfed the giant waves on our li-lo's, crashing and head butting into a very large woman bending down at the crest of a wave.
It was so funny!
The 1980s were a great decade for pop music, pubs ,fun pubs and night clubbing, Damian was a good part of that era he always had fun and joined on a conga in a disco,I'm sure the rest of the lads will miss him dearly, if we could only turn back time!

So sorry to hear this very sad news of Damian’s passing. I knew Damian from junior school even though I was a few years older than him we both served as alter boys at St Vincent’s.
We worked together at Edwin P Lees on Yorkshire St, I still have the scar on my finger where he put a fridge freezer down on it before I was ready. We had a laugh every day mostly at the expense of our boss Gordon.
Saw him on regular basis at the Infirmary.

So sad to hear of Damian passing. Remember him from my school days. Abiding memory is of him slipping in the mud continually when on a hike one year from school. He was a good friend to many.

Rest in peace Damian you were taken too young, fond memories of you at work. Our thoughts and prayers are with Rita, Chris, Zita, Thomas, Martha and all the family.

Damien was a find funny kind person . My twin brother Jonh and i went to school with him . Taken far too early . Deepest sympathy to all of his family in our thoughts
