AnitaLANCASTER(née Randall, formerly Anita Callan) It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Anita Lancaster, beloved wife to Gordon, cherished mother, devoted grandmother, and proud great-grandmother. Anita lived a life full of love, learning, and adventure. A retired teacher, Anita dedicated her career to inspiring young minds and fostering a love of knowledge. Outside the classroom, she was an avid choral singer, finding joy and harmony in music. Her passion for literature, especially the works of Jane Austen, was well known; she delighted in reading and sharing her insights through talks on the author. Anita's adventurous spirit led her to travel the world, embracing new cultures and experiences. She particularly loved walking and rambling in the beautiful hills and countryside of the UK and beyond. A fond and active member of the University of the Third Age (U3A), Anita continued to learn and share throughout her later years. Her warmth, wisdom, and enthusiasm touched everyone who knew her. Anita will be remembered for her kindness, her laughter, and her unwavering love for her family.
Funeral Service The funeral service will be held on Friday, 6th February at Emmanuel Church, Loughborough at 1:00 pm. All are welcome to attend.
Family flowers only, please; donations will be collected for Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People. Please wear a touch of colour to echo Anita's zest for life.
