I grew up on the same street as Paul and was part of a group of friends who hung out together. We lost touch when I moved away from the area.
Paul found me on Facebook many years later and it was as if we’d never been apart. We met up for gigs, food and coffee and we chatted regularly, sharing our lives, jokes and banter.
I’m incredibly sad that Paul lost his battle and I will miss our friendship, he’ll never be forgotten. Rest in peace my dear friend, love you and miss you ❤️

I met Paul through the cricket team we both played for and what a brilliant friend he turned out to be. A very funny man and he gave me many laughs and what a pleasure he was to be with. I was truly blessed to have known him. I shall miss him.

Paul was my oldest friend, we met when I moved into his street when I was 6 years of age. The moment we met my childhood became full of fun and laughter, we had so much fun together and it was a privilege to grow up with him. Our friendship kept going for over 54 years and even up to the end of his days he was still making me laugh. I love you and miss you terribly my best and oldest friend and always will. RIP xxxxx

May you rest in peace Paul. You were an unbelievable colleague, mentor and friend. You always prioritised our welfare and entertained us daily with your incredible and sharp sense of humour. The fact we all remain close demonstrated your ability to lead and bring a team together. You will be sorely missed x
