We had the pleasure of knowing Peter as a member of our National Trust conservation group. He was wonderful company, full of stories and anecdotes about his army days and about the travels he'd been on.
He was always cheerful, hardworking and a pleasure to be in the company of.

Such fond memories of our shared time at RAF Leuchars. Mum and I often laugh about the Royal Garden Party, when you and Chris made sure that we were front row when Her Majesty walked by. Nothing will top your exploits on the evening of the open-air concert at Glams, when rain of biblical proportions threatened to ruin the evening for Mum, Dad, you and Chris. With calm, unflattered efficiency, you turned the ground sheet and golfing umbrellas into a waterproof awning. What a man you were, Peter! Sincerest condolences from the Nicholsons to Harriette...Rest in peace, Peter. XX
