When I moved into the health and safety forum, Brian was one of the first to reach out. He called to introduce himself and offer support. A short time later, feeling a little overwhelmed, I called him for advice. He didn’t hesitate-he came to visit, walked the site with me, and shared his knowledge with compassion and understanding. Since then we’ve been great colleagues. We often spoke about audits and worked together to align our assurance reviews and share learning-always with a shared goal of making things better. His dry sense of humour often made me laugh, and he never ended a conversation without asking after my family.
Brian brought warmth, wisdom and genuine care to everything he did, I’ll miss him.
My thoughts are with his family and all those who knew and loved him.
