John Frederick ThomasNEIGHBOURNotice of death and funeral of John Frederick Thomas Neighbour We are sad to report the death on 29 November 2025 of John Neighbour at the age of 83. John was a much-loved husband to the late Wendy, father to Tim and Bex and grandfather to Rachel, Ben and Tom. He was well known locally as a partner at HB accountants, an active member and former president of Hoddesdon Rotary Club and a loyal member of the congregation, treasurer and churchwarden of St Catherine & St Paul's Church.

The funeral service will be at Hoddesdon Parish Church, Pauls Lane, EN11 8TR on Tuesday 16 December starting at 10.30 a.m. There is no formal dress code; John would simply want people to feel comfortable.

Everyone is invited to celebrate his life with refreshments at The College Arms in Hertford Heath starting at 12 noon.

Family flowers only. Donations to Hearts for Herts.

After knowing John for fifty years, we shall miss many things about him , his kindness, his helpfulness, but especially his humour and jollity. We once remarked to him that if ever we needed cheering the first person in all the world we would call would be him. He was above all our loyal and constant friend, whom we shall miss very much.

I never spent a moment with John where we didn’t end up laughing together-we truly shared the same sense of humour. The Wednesday Afternoon social club is now reunited together - John & Sam drinking whiskey while Wendy & Di will be catching up on all the latest gossip. Our families eternally joined together by their love.❤️
