I sorry to hear of the sad passing of Ian. I grew up on the same council estate of Northway in the sixties and seventies. Northway was a lot smaller then and everyone knew everyone. We were on our teens when we got to know each other. We very much shared the same taste in rock musical and I remember him lending me all of his Wishbone Ash albums, resulting in me becoming a big lifetime fan. His favourite band though was the WHO
I remember going round the youth club, where Ian would put the album Argus on full volume and we would get up and play air guitar to "Warrior"
Too many good memories to write about here, but I must pass on my sincere condolences to Jo and all the family. RIP my old pal

We still can’t believe you’ve left, you will be so missed. Over the years, you helped Ted whenever he needed you, and I miss not seeing you down the lane walking Chelsea’s little dog. RIP dear brother-in-law x
