Dearest Gaynor [Bonnie]
You gave us so many wonderful memories both personally and professionally. My personal favourite is this.
I was kindly invited to an after show party in the early 90's to which you also attended.
Upon your entrance as the announcer welcomed you, in that very moment you tripped on your heel due to the deep pile rug and with quite a thud, came the face plant!
We all gasped with concern but in your formidable style, you immediately rose like a rose and with a shake of your hair and shoulders, you just laughed it off and announced 'there you then, Bonnie's here'!
You picked up a glass of champagne and carried on like nothing had happened which was met with raised applause = a raised glass to the class act your were on every level!
I was lucky to meet you a few times and you were always grounded, real and so very kind to all us folk that had the genuine pleasure of meeting you.
Personally, its such a sad thing knowing your away now Bonnie. I purchased every CD but I always kept in cool when meeting you but - always a little star struck because I loved your music since the first time I heard Lost In France and Heartache as a little 7 year old lad and Band of Gold, that was a banger on repeat as were so many others
A great human - diolch and nos da you beautiful Hero' with thoughts and love to Robert, your family, friends and cherished ❤️
