DesmondWEBBOn Saturday 20th December 2025. Des, aged 101, passed peacefully at Rose Cross Care Home, Swansea.

Beloved husband of the late Joan. Loving father of Vivian. Dear son of the late Peter. Much loved father in law to Marie and Lawrence. Treasured grandfather of Lynsey, Mark, Melanie, Robyn, David and Sam. Cherished grandfather in law of Lisa, Chris, Emma and Caitlin, and a proud great grandfather to seven great grandchildren.

Desmond lived on Bryn Eglur Road, for nearly 60 years and will be deeply missed by all his family, friends and neighbors.

Funeral service to be held on Thursday 22nd January 2026. Ty-Hedd Funeral Home, Graham J Sullivan Funeral Directors, at 11:00am. Followed by committal at Swansea Crematorium. at 12:00pm.

You warmly invited to join the family for light refreshments at The Eagle at 1:00pm.

Family flowers only please.

We have known Des for such a long time through his visits to Australia and our visits back to Wales. We felt like family and that’s the way he treated us. A great husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Most of all he was a top bloke and the consummate story teller. We will be miss him greatly.
