Jack was more than a friend – he was part of our family. His presence was a constant across the years, woven through so many treasured memories: Easter walks with the children, firework nights at ours, quiz evenings for dad, long chats about life and politics. His grin was always there – warm, knowing, and utterly infectious.
As children, he cared for us deeply. I’ll never forget crying on a journey in the caravan, and Jack gently reassuring me on the journey, It’s just round the next corner.” That simple phrase, full of patience and love, has stayed with me – a quiet example of who he was: calm, kind, and endlessly giving.
He took Lisa and me swimming, was patient and reassuring, always made time for others, and was unwavering in his loyalty – especially in his friendship with Dad, which was rich with shared stories and genuine affection.
Jack brought comfort, joy, and steadiness to all our lives. We will miss him more than words can say – and we carry his love and laughter with us, always.
Thank you, Jack xxx
