GordonACTONIt is with deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Gordon Acton on the 20th October, aged 96. A devoted Husband to Beatrice, cherished Father to Sylvia, Pauline and Robin, beloved Grampy, Great-Grampy and loyal friend to many. Gordon was a true gentleman whose kindness touched all who knew him. He will be dearly missed.

The funeral service will be held at St Katharine's Church, Matson, on Thursday 13th November at 10.30am followed by committal at Gloucester Crematorium at 11.30am.

Family flowers only. There will be a collection on the day for the Alzheimer's Society.

Thoughts are with all the family, Gordie aka my work Grandad as I used to call him he was a lovely man, always polite was a pleasure to care for him and know him, we used to love it when he was on our run always had a laugh with Gordon and wife B, both special people to me, RIP Gordie 😢 sending love to all the family at this sad time , ❤️

What a true gentleman always smiling
I always enjoyed our chats at Merretts and at church
I always called him Mr Acton he’d say Carole call me Gordon but I had so much respect for a great man
