Mrs Adkins, my second Mum, Always covering for me when I got into frequent scrapes when I was a young boy, repairing my torn trousers or jumper. I remember playing cards on a rainy day during the summer holidays, along with her Mother Mrs Morris and Leyton, Edward, and a few more urchins in Capel Road. Then there was the time when we lads cleared out the coal shed and formed the head quarters of "The Turf Club", many more happy memories for me in my brilliant child hood living in Capel Road.
Mrs Adkins always made me welcome whenever I visited my Mother, and always was pleased to hear of my family after .
moving away from Clydach.
Pleas accept my apologies for not attending the funeral, My heartfelt condolences to Gloria, Leyton, Maria and Paul. She will be missed by all those who knew her as I did. Please get in touch if you wish.
Best wishes and Seasons greetings Neil Garland
