IanADSETTSIan passed away 24th February aged 78.

Born in Bolsover, Derbyshire, he developed a lifelong love of horses from an early age. As a boy he bought his first pony for £40, training it himself before selling it through Horse & Hound. Showjumping became his passion and he competed on multiple occasions at the Horse of the Year Show at Wembley. He later went on to train outstanding showjumping horses at his stud farm, Elm Leaze, on the edge of the Badminton Estate.

Well known in the equestrian community, he will be remembered as a warm and generous man who made many friends through his passion for horses.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday 31 March at 12:30 p.m. at St Michael and All Angels Church, Great Badminton GL9 1DD, followed by refreshments at Badminton Memorial Hall, Hayes Lane, Badminton GL9 1DD.

Family flowers only. Donations in his memory to Riding for the Disabled.

Funeral arrangements by F W Jones & Son Funeral Directors, Chippenham.

My association with Ian stretches back many years - Worcester Lodge Show, Badminton Dressage Championships (sharing the microphone), Kingsleaze Riding Club. Always a decent, friendly chap, with heart in the right place. Pleased that the RDA is the chosen charity - the Lees family have a long involvement and my pony was the first ever to receive the long service medal.

Farewell my friend.
