Beatrice LintonANDERSONBeatrice Linton Anderson, born on December 20 1931, died peacefully on 5 January 2026, aged 94 years. Wife of the late Eric Anderson, Beatrice was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Beatrice was born and grew up in the Scottish Borders, attending the Berwickshire High School and the University of Edinburgh. An early teaching job took Beatrice north to Aberdeenshire, where she met Eric. They married in 1959 before moving south to England in 1962.
Children followed, with Alison born in 1964 and Alan in 1966. The family moved to Formby in 1967, where Beatrice stayed until 2007, returning to teaching, first at Litherland High School, then Formby High School as her own children grew up.
Beatrice moved to Loughborough in 2007, where she became an active member of a number of local U3A groups, and also volunteered with the RVS through Loughborough Library.
The family will be holding an intimate funeral, followed by wider family celebration of Beatrice's life later in the year.
