VictorANDERTONVic passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, September 2, aged 84. Mitchell House was a home which he loved and shared with his wife Liz and their family, over the years. Being a builder, he was proud to have built his own home; not only did he live there, but he died there. In his retirement he liked nothing better than spending time in his garden with the dogs and Liz around. He was born in Lytham, moved to Helmshore, then Stonefold Village. Upon leaving school he joined the Royal Navy and saw the world. He went on to work at Duralay in Helmshore, then became a self employed builder. He married his first wife Glenda and had four children Victor, Martin, Darren and Belinda. He met Liz in 1972 who had two children, Lisa and John, with whom he spent the next 45 years. Vic worked hard all his life and liked nothing better than wheeler dealing. He adored all his family and grandchildren and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. The funeral service will take place on Friday, September 17, at 1.40pm at Accrington Crematorium. Family flowers only with donations, if desired, in memory of Vic to Rossendale Hospice c/o funeral director Caroline Holden-Dewhurst for Johnson, Durning and Woods Funeral Service, Haslingden.
