Michael BandeleATIKOBass guitarist extraordinaire, Del Atiko, unexpectedly passed away on 11th April 2025.

He was well known all around Cardiff, especially by motorists in Roath, as their former squeegie car window cleaner, and of the TV documentary 'Squeegies' fame.

A service celebrating Del's life will be held at Thornhill Cemetery & Cardiff Crematorium, Wenallt Chapel, on Thursday 1st May 2025, 4.30pm.

I knew Michael when he lived in Kennington South London.
A local celebrity in the Mansion house public house.
We worked together on the Wigan Show when he was stand in bass player for Dan Hartman when he was promoting his hit single “I can dream about you”.

To all who knew Del, I remember him well as a great musician and man of the people.

I consider myself to be a lucky man to have had the pleasure of meeting Del. From the day I met l him back in 1993 he was always the same happy person from that day onwards.
