It is with deep sadness that the family of Jean Avington (née Corson) announce her peaceful passing on July 13th at Marylands Care Home in Formby.
Jean was born and raised in Ellesmere Port and moved to Formby in the early 1960s with her late beloved husband Ted. She spent many years working in the community as a nurse, midwife and health visitor and loved meeting her “mums” and “babies” long into her retirement.
A service to celebrate Jean’s life will be held at 10.30am on Thursday, August 14th at Holy Trinity Church, then at 12 noon at Southport Crematorium.
The family warmly invites all who knew Jean, or were helped by Jean, to join them at the Church to celebrate her life and for a funeral reception at Formby Cricket Club at 1.30pm following the service.
