Martin GerardAYRESDied peacefully on 25th March 2024 aged 65 years at Springhill Hospice, surrounded by his family.
Much loved husband of Sue, loving Dad to Catherine and Rachael. Beloved brother of Angela, Margaret and Bernard. A cherished cousin, uncle, great uncle, and a loyal friend to many.

Martin was best known for his life-long commitment as a Trade Unionist, Labour Party campaigner, and for passionately fighting for socially progressive causes.

Martin was a devoted family man, an avid sports fan and a committee member of Rochdale Catholic Club. He was a lifelong supporter of Rochdale AFC and Rochdale Hornets. Greatly respected, dearly missed, and forever remembered.

The funeral is to be held on Tuesday 23rd April 2024 at 11:45am at St Vincent de Paul RC Church, Norden, Rochdale, followed by a private family burial.
Family flowers only please.
