Thelma and Ivor Leech special close long standing friends of Ron and their daughter Andrea Ferguson, wish to send their heartfelt sympathy to Stephen and Mandy, (Dawn and Mike) and their families. Ron was such a character and will be missed so much. He will be at peace now, smiling down on us all playing his harmonica which he had such a talent for.
With love from us all x

Andrew and I send condolences to you all. I met Ron on our on visit to England in 2014. Ron was kind and made us feel welcome. I enjoyed meeting and knowing him.

We only had the pleasure of knowing Ron for a few short years but even then we grew to love the true gentleman Ron was, with a heart of gold and the most loving and supportive family that he adored. He was always smartly dressed and took such pride in his appearance.
We have missed him greatly over the last year, the songs, the stories and the harmonica playing and the biggest smile when we arrived on his doorstep. We will continue to miss him but he will be remembered forever by us all as one of most cheerful and warm hearted people you could ever wish to call a friend. He was also a very special friend to Monty.

Our love to his family on today which would have been his 95th birthday.

Jane, Graham, Eleanor, Alex and Monty Ramsden.

A gentleman, affable, interesting and always smartly dressed. Who can forget those wonderful stories of childhood, told in that endearing and engaging accent? Sometimes he would also talk lovingly of his family, of whom he was immensely proud. I will miss my visits to 122 or the ever present wave of friendship as I walked by.  When I go past there now I can't get the sound of that harmonica out of my mind, as Ron sings to me "The Blaydon Races"
Lichfield, Alston and Samuel King's have lost a much loved son.
