DavidBAKERDetective Chief Superintendent (Rtd), QPM & Honorary Doctor of Science It is with great sadness that the family of David Baker announces his passing on Friday 20th March 2026 aged 90 years. David was the devoted husband of Geraldine, a loving father to Kathryn, David, Jonathan, Karen, and Michael, and a dear grandfather to his 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Please join us to honour his memory at St Peter and St Paul's Church, Syston on Thursday 16th April 2026 at 11:00am.

Family flowers only, please.

So very sorry to hear of Mr Bakers passing. We did meet him and i said Thank you but, thank you was never enough. Because of his commitment to his job he gave our family peace of mind and justice for Lynda and Dawn.
