Gerald WilliamBATESSadly passed away on 17th March 2020 aged 69 years. Dearly loved and sadly missed by devoted wife Margaret, Children & Grandchildren. Funeral Service will take place at Stafford Crematorium on Thursday 9th April 2020 at 16:00 pm. Any donations in memory of Gerald will go to the British Heart Foundation via the link on this page. So sorry to hear of Gerald's death when i called and Margaret answered my call. We last caught up in New York several years ago after some 40 years, as i'd moved to New Zealand. I'll always remember you as a friend from my teens, lots of fun, riding motor bikes and social occasions. You were always a kind and thoughtful soul, It's a shame we weren't able to meet again. My best regards to Margaret and your family. Rest in peace my friend, you will be remembered.

Dearest Margaret and family, I am with you all in spirit if not in person during this very difficult and sad time. I am so glad that I saw Gerald only a couple of weeks before his passing. May he RIP.
