I have only just seen this and I am so sorry to read of Les Bee's passing. My father Arthur Leslie Evans joined the army on the same day as Les and they trained together too. Les attended my father's funeral in 2002, for which my family were very grateful. May you rest in peace Les and your family be very proud of what you achieved in your life.

So sorry to read of your loss. Les was a friend of my father Arthur Leslie Evans and in fact they were in the Army together on their very first day. One was in the top bunk and the other below. Both went to Normandy in the flat bottomed boat! I really appreciated his attendance at my father's funeral in 2002, as I did other Normandy Veterans. My sincere condolences to the family and apologies for this late memorial to LES BEE. May God bless him. Rest in peace Les. X
Mrs Frances Pawley.
