AlfredBENFIELDIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alfred (Alf) William Benfield, who passed away peacefully on the 2nd January 2026.
Alf will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.
Alf's funeral service will take place at Chelmsford Crematorium South Chapel, Writtle Road, CM1 3BL, on Friday 30th January 2026 at 1.30pm.
Following the service, all are warmly invited to join the family in celebrating Alf's life at the wake held at Hylands House, Hylands Park, London Rd, Writtle, CM2 8WQ.
Dress code is optional; wearing black is not a requirement.
Flowers by family only please. Donations, if desired, are welcomed in Alf's memory to St Helena Hospice, Colchester.
