Mum was my best friend, the person I went to with my problems, to ask for advice and to confide in. The person who gave me full support with everything I did, she never judged or criticised me.

We used to have days out shopping or went to a garden centre for lunch, chatting, listening to one another’s moans, exchanging opinions and generally enjoying each other’s company. We made lots of happy memories together which I shall never forget.

Mum and I went on a couple of short breaks together to Barcelona and Benidorm . She was in her late seventies but still walked energetically each day. We had brilliant times.

Even when she went into care, I would take my knitting to show her and we would discuss it. She was always interested in what I was up to and asking about Mark and Matthew.

Mum said to me once that she hadn’t done anything remarkable or memorable. Well Mum you certainly looked after all your family with love and care, making sure we were always alright. Sharing your love and making wonderful memories with us all! ♥️

I shall always be grateful to my Mum for everything. She was a huge part of my life and there’s a massive hole now. I miss her so much and I always will.

Rest in peace my beautiful Mum. I will always love you ❤️❤️
