Dear Auntie Melinda,
You always seemed like the cool one to me when I was growing up. Fun loving and a bit mischievous. Then, when my mum (your oldest sister) was nearing the end of the same journey you’ve just been on, you came to visit her every day. We chatted and laughed, and reminisced. You made and brought food for me as a breast feeding mummy to my 6 week old. To keep up my strength while I sat by my mums bedside in the last few days.
Your prawn cocktail was to die for. And the chicken stew you prepared, made me cry as it tasted exactly like my mums and your mums. I can hear your Blake laugh now in my mind. I bet the reunion in heaven was quite a raucous one the day you went home! TTFN, With fond love, Your oldest Niece, Rachel xx
