Dad was simply the centre of our family. Even this far on we all feel a huge void that no one is able or willing to try to fill. Dad was not just a father to his four children but also to our partners who miss him as much. His grand children were massively important, he had to be there for their first; trip to see Santa, first train ride (and second and third too). When Dad left us his grand-children were aged 3 to 23 and he knew he had a great grand-daughter who would not be born until the August, he did not know that another grandson would arrive in February 2008. All of his grand-children loved him so very much and miss him terribly, they see to it that the new ones will get to know all about him too. Simply put, he was and remains, the best husband, dad, grandad, great-grandad, friend, shoulder, advice centre and so much more.

Memories of joy bring tears of sadness and smiles of love.

Brian was my brother in law, my mentor and a loyal Villa fan, but most of all he was a dedicated husband to my sister and a fantastic father and grandfather.
