DonBOOTES(Fawdon) Died peacefully at home on 13th March 2024, one day after his 80th birthday.

Dearly loved husband to Angela, wonderful dad to Judith, Kaye and Samantha, step-dad to James and Caroline, devoted grandad to Gareth, Matthew, Aaron, Jessica, Robert and Lily, loved brother to Helen and the late Dorothy. Don will be forever loved and missed by all his family and friends.

Please meet for funeral service at West Road Crematorium, Newcastle on Wednesday 3rd April at 12 noon.

Family flowers only please, donations to St Oswalds Hospice and Macmillan Nurses may be made at the service.

All welcome afterwards to the Jubilee Pub, Jubilee Road Fawdon.

I have known Don since the early 70’s and have countless happy memories of playing in bands together and socialising generally. Don was a man of many talents but excelled as a guitarist. He will be sadly missed as a good friend and fellow musician. RIP Don. Ossy Amin and Joy
