Lovely Sylvia, warm , caring very funny and a good friend . You were there at a time when I needed you most , non judgemental, giving support and guidance without prejudice. A great listener you had an amazing talent of hearing what was not said, but understanding what was needed. Your bright, if a little ditsy personality provided us with lots of laughs and great memories which I shall treasure forever.
I will miss you immensely, but I expect you’ll be keeping Bob in order now! Gone from my life but forever alive in my heart.❤️ Much love. Terri X

Gorgeous, beautiful lady. Always a smile on your face, always immaculate, and always a glass of something in your hand on your pictures! You never really changed in the 40 odd years that I knew you … rest easy… nobody dies until the last person that loved them dies.. you will live on forever 😘 Sally xx

I have known Sylvia for over 60 years. I was best friends all through grammar school and afterwards with her eldest daughter Valerie. Val was the eldest of six children but sadly died prematurely in her 20s. I remember Val and I going back to her home after school one day and meeting Heather, who was just a few days old having been born at home. Heather has always described her mum as being ‘a proper mum’ and indeed she was. She was compassionate and caring and she had a fabulous sense of fun! Sylvia you were always such a wonderful woman. Love always Jennifer x

One of a kind ! During those early wild days of adulthood, she made us feel at home, even when we were far from well-behaved.
I’ll never forget sneaking in at Tollerton after nights out and Heather saying come back it will be fine !!! We failed miserably at being quiet, only to hear her call “Heather!” from upstairs, stifling our laughter. And of course, the pickled onions—no jar was safe when we raided the kitchen late at night.
Shaking her head in the morning at our antics !!

RIP xxxx

My lovely Mum. No words really except to say that I will treasure all of my 62 years with you. Yes, I finally admit I’ve entered my 60s’! To the telling offs, to the cuddles, to our shopping trips, our holidays in Spain, and Devon and Warners! 😹 night night x
